Odoo Light User: what it is and how much it costs

Odoo started out as free software, built together with a community of developers, and since then every version has brought changes that are felt directly in the budgets of the companies using it. Odoo 20, released on 24 September 2026, introduced Odoo Light User, a license that costs €4.90 a month in Romania, compared with the €22.90 a user on the Custom plan costs in the first year. It is designed for employees and contractors who use Odoo only for limited tasks: reporting production, scanning barcodes in the warehouse, logging hours worked or requesting time off.

How much does an ERP cost for a factory in Romania

Below we compare the costs of four of the ERPs most widely used by small and mid-sized companies: Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP Business One and Oracle NetSuite. In the interest of transparency: we are an Odoo partner. To make the figures comparable, we calculated them for a concrete case, a manufacturing company in Romania with 15 users, and it wasn’t simple at all, because only two of the four platforms publish their prices. With the other two, you only find out what it costs once you’re in a conversation with a partner.

How to choose an ERP for a manufacturing company: 5 steps

How to choose an ERP for a manufacturing company: 5 steps

There’s a point in the life of every manufacturing business where growth becomes hard to keep under control. It usually means the system the company was built on can no longer keep up with today’s demands. If you’re losing whole hours to customers, suppliers, invoices and stock, you’ve probably reached the point where you need an ERP.

A team certified directly by Odoo

We are an Odoo Learning Partner, and the entire team has completed Project Leader Onboarding (PLO), Odoo's official program that trains consultants to lead implementation projects using their methodology. We implement by the official Odoo playbook, not by improvisation, and where Odoo doesn't reach, we write the code ourselves. Concretely, for you:

  • Consolidation

We replace dozens of subscriptions and spreadsheets with a single platform that connects sales, inventory, invoicing and accounting.

  • Implementation on your workflows

We configure Odoo around the way your company actually works. We don't change your processes to fit the software. Where needed, we build custom modules.

  • Team training

Your people learn the system from Odoo-certified consultants, not from tutorials. Adoption happens without frustration and without interruptions.

What we do

ODOO
Odoo implementation

We move sales, inventory, manufacturing and invoicing into a single system. We configure Odoo around your workflows, migrate the data from your old software and train your team until they can work on their own. We are an Odoo Learning Partner, and the whole team has completed Odoo’s official program for leading implementations.

Custom software

When no off-the-shelf software fits, we build the application from scratch or new modules for Odoo. We connect to what you already use, such as Saga, SmartBill or eMag Marketplace, so you can automate without replacing everything. You keep the source code.

How we work

A 4-step process designed to remove the risk from your side.

01

Free discovery

Together we analyze your company's workflows and define exactly what you need, before we write a single line of code. You don't need a spec document, just an idea.

02

Transparent offer

You receive a detailed offer with a realistic timeline. You know from the start how much it costs, how long it takes and what you get, with no hidden costs.

03

Implementation in sprints

We work in stages and test everything in a separate environment, following the official Odoo playbook. Your team's activity is not interrupted, and the goal is zero downtime.

04

Training & handover

Your team receives dedicated training to adopt the new tools without frustration, and the source code and intellectual property remain 100% yours.
